Junior Weight: Minimum weight 1 5/8 pounds, no more than 3.25 pounds
Senior: Not more than 3.75, ideal weight 3.5 pounds

The lionhead is named for its unique appearance of have a male lions mane.

Brief History

The exact history of the lionhead is unknown. Some have said it originated from Belgium and included crossbreeding a Swiss Fox with a Jersey Wooly. It was brought to the US around 1999 by JoAnne Statler and Tom Coats. The current Certificate of Development is held by Gayle Gibbons

The Lionhead has not been accepted by the ARBA
